楠クリーン村は、夏も冬も、現実も厳しい（+ENG ver.）

楠クリーン村のイベントには、いつでも駆けつけてくれる楠クリーン村の応援団長役、徳丸さんが記事を書いてくれました！

（1）怪しい人達

私が、最初に高田理事長に会ったのは2018年9月やまぐち応援プロジェクト（以下「会」という）の忘年会の会場探しで山口市佐山にある「一隅の里」に行ったときのことでした。高田さんは店先で農産品を販売していた。
たまたま言葉を交わすと、楠の山の奥に若い人達が自給自足の生活をしている場所があるという。

　高田さんの誠実な人柄に一度訪問してみようかと思ったが、ひょっとしたら変わった怪しい人達の集団ではあるまいか、という疑念はありました。

（2）カルチャーショック

10月のある日、長門での会の行事も終わり、午後仲間７人で楠クリーン村（以下「楠村」という）訪問することになりました。村内に案内されると、その開けた雰囲気に一瞬で疑念は払拭されました。
県外から耕作放棄地を再生するために来ている若者達がいることを初めて知って、殴られたようなショックを受け仰天しました。

（3）多様性の価値を知ってほしい

普通なら、楠村は多くの人に知られて評価されていい筈なのに、彼女彼等達は、知られることに熱意もなく、黙々と自分達の仕事に満足していることにも驚きでした。

えっ？欲はないの？お金ほしくないの？遊びたくないの？

普通なら、誰でも社会や人の評価を期待して行動するものですが、楠村は世間の常識を超越して、ここで本当の価値あるものに気付きましたと。

（4）「ゴザ持っておいでよ！カンボジア・クメール舞踊2019」に誘われて

私は、楠村の人達はもっぱら耕作放棄地を再生しているイメージでしたが、楠村に研修に来ているミャンマーの若者たち（女5・男3）と会話を交え、またカンボジアのクメール舞踊の若い女性達に接すると、楠村は、地域再生を通してアジアの人達と繋がっていることを認識させられました。
実はそうではなく、グローバルな世界の中で、アジアの若い人達との連帯、自立、地域再生のネットワーク化の中で楠クリーン村は存在していたんですね。こうしたネットワークに存在する楠村を改めて見直すと、また違った楠村の風景が見えてきました。

（5）我々にできること

私が所属している、山口県中小企業経営者協会支部で、2019年2月高田さんの講演会を企画しました。聴衆はやはり一様に新鮮な驚きでしたが、誰も目立った反応、行動を起こすことはありませんでした。日々無関心の世界にべったりと甘んじて、それを良しとしているからです。

楠村を前にして、何も感じず、何も動くことができなければ、民度はさらに劣化していくのでしょうか。その現実を思い知らされました。

(1) Suspicious people

I first met President Takada when I went to “Ichiguu no Sato” in Sayama, Yamaguchi City. That was in September 2018.  I was searching the venue for the year-end party of Yamaguchi Support Project (hereinafter referred to as “Association”) Ms. Takata sold agricultural products at the storefront. When I talked to her, she said there is a place in Kusunoki where young people live in self-sufficiency in a mountain area.

I wanted to visit there because I really attracted her sincere personality . Even though I doubt it might be a group of strange and suspicious people.

(2) Culture shock

One day in October afternoon, when the event at Nagato ended, we, I and seven friends decided to visit Kuunoki Clean Village (hereinafter “Kusunoki Village”). When we are guided to the village, our doubts were wiped out in an instant. It was not closed commune, rather open minded one.  I realized that there were young people coming to reclaim abandoned farmland from outside the prefecture for the first time. I was amazed and shocked.

(3) I want you to know the value of diversity

I was also amazed at youth in Kusunoki village quietly satisfied with their work without enthusiasm for being known. Kusunoki village should be well-known and appreciated by many people, but they do not care about ordinary fame and fortune,

Eh? Do they have any greed? Don't they want money? Do not they want to play?

Normally, everyone would act with the expectation of society and people's evaluation. But in Kusunoki village these ordinarily common sense has no meaning.  I realized that it was truly valuable here.

(4) Invite me to ‘Bring Goza and Enjoy ! Cambodia Khmer Dance 2019’

I had the image that the people of Kusunoki clean village were reviving the abandoned farmland.  But I communicated  with Myanmar youth (female 5 and man 3) who came to Kusunoki village for training. And also I met young women from Cambodia as members of Khmer Dance tour. I come to realize Kusunoki village was connected to Asian people through regional regeneration. On the contrary, in the global and regional network, Kusunoki Village is existed.  That is a network of solidarity,  independence, and regional revitalization with Asian young people. When I re-examined the Kusunoki Village that existed in these networks, I was able to see a different perspectives of it.

(5) What we can do

In February 2019, I organized a lecture for Ms. Takata at the branch office of the Small and Medium Business Association of Yamaguchi Prefecture, to which I belong. The audience was always freshly surprised, but no one had noticeable reaction or action. This is because we are happy to be in the world of indifference every day.

If we can't feel anything and move when we hear about Kusunoki Village, people should be deteriorate further. I was reminded of the sever reality.
